about the brake thing. Imagine riding down the wrong (left) side of the street and signaling (some people do this) with your right hand when you need to stop suddenly - you sqeeze your front brake and things go very wrong really fast... ahhh

I just got the 26" wheel but i'm looking at a light XC style bike now. The 26" wheel will roll faster and smoother in the rough stuff - the reason i bought it. As it is with the 24" it's fun, wheelies like mad manuals well - has mega-low climbing gears - it's climb a cliff if you're motivated. 22-36 on the front.

The suspension and geometry is so adjustable on this bike the "messing" with it is a moot point. I've been riding with the 24" wheel (pictured) in the high bb 68deg head tube setting. the bb can be dropped an inch and the headtube to 66deg. The 26" conversion essentially lengthens things by 1 inch without serious impact to the geometry... Think M3.
